Some would argue that the art of blending wine is the most important part of the winemaking process. Some would argue that the actual winemakers is just a technician but the blender is the real rock star magician. Yes, some would argue this.
Blending wines together can often result in something that transcends its individual parts. Here’s your chance to find out if all this is true.
In this class you will create your own signature blends, and then select your favorite, which you can make with us this fall! You’ll learn about the art of blending wine and why we do it. We’ll review some of the famous blends from around the world and what makes them special. Then you’ll taste and choose several of your favorite single varietal wines for blending. Once you’ve picked your favorites, we’ll walk you through a typical blending procedure. After you’ve got that down, we’ll turn you loose to create your own signature blends!
