It’s funny. Whenever I ask people what their favorite wines are, Pinot Noir is always one of their top two, but for some reason, not many folks actually sign up to make it. This year we’re going to try to change that.
We’ve made some beautiful wines from Pinot from grapes from various grape growing regions over the years, but we’re always on the lookout for the best Pinot grapes we can find. This year when I asked Matt what we should do he said, “Why can’t we source some Russian River Pinot?” Matt worked at a very nice Pinot Noir producer in the Russian River Valley and has a lot of experience with these grapes wines.
The Russian River Valley in Sonoma is widely know for both its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines and the Russian River AVA is a world-class Pinot Noir producing region.
Our grapes supplier doesn’t typically carry Russian River Pinot. But after a bit of searching and some negiotiation, they managed to lock down a supply of these fantastic grapes just for us! But the supply is limited so you need to act soon.
Our exclusive Ultra Premium 2025 Russian River Pinot Noir will be made in French oak because after all, Pinot Noir is Burgundy and Burgundy is in France!
The price for making this Ultra Premium Russian River Pinot Noir in French oak and aged for 10 months is:
Full barrel (23 cases/276 bottles): $9,116
